Intermediate Scales and Bowings take the concepts introduced in Elementary Scales and Bowings a step further. The scales remain in first position, but in addition to the major scales, the student is also introduced to the basics of minor scales. Exercises employ different bowing techniques, as before, but more rhythmic patterns are added, as well as a variety of meters.
