Description
Ysae’s 10 Preludes for Solo Violin are a testament to the virtuosity of the composer himself in their Paganinian difficulty! Intending to serve as technical studies for the serious violinist, each prelude addressing an interval relationship (from the unison to the tenth), but they are certainly impressive enough to be performed as well. There are ample practice and performance notes, both from Ysae himself and from the editor. The book also contains a facsimile of a manuscript page.
This edition for solo violin is edited by Charles Radoux Rogier. Published by Schott Music.
